Paul Mossman commented on XCF-2738:
-----------------------------------

The DB information about Polycom "1.6" phones must get taken care of during
upgrade (version field needs to be upgraded, maybe something else). See:

> Affects Versions: 3.11.4

> When you add a new Polycom SoundPoint IP phone in sipXconfig, there is
> currently a "Firmware Version" setting with choices "1.6" or "2.0".  In
> practice, the "2.0" options actually means "any version greater than 1.6".
> Polycom firmware is up to 3.0.3 now, and 3.1 is soon to be released.  Even
> grand-fathered 300/500 sets can run a "2.0" compatible version of firmware
> (2.1.3).
> This requests that support for "1.6" removed.  The actual requirement is to
> remove the "Firmware Version" setting, and defaulting to support for "any
> version greater than 1.6". There is no requirement to keep the 1.6 files or
> 1.6-specific items in the code, so please also remove them for cleanup.
