| I still have a lasting bruise when I ran into that about 18 months ago. I liked the performance aspect of the first vpro machines so I got a few and use one as a daily desktop still. Installing Linux on a couple got me bruised pretty easily. When I researched the errors, I actually got things to install, but had to even limit the memory for the install, which made the basic install take hours, but after fixing up grub it worked just fine. The 7700's I have aren't that different than the 7800's and their successors. When installing linux for a sipx system I tend to think "linux" rather than "sipx", and get past the first step with new hardware. I didn't have the same problem with Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop though, they actually seemed to like everything but the NIC and had to get drivers for those. When you have a new chipset like that, you will beat yourself in the head with Linux sometimes and those little frozen penguins can hurt. >>> "Bob Anderson" <randerson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> 06/30/09 4:39 PM >>> Tony I can't believe that worked-you're a genius, Thank-you!!!
