[sipX-dev] Impossible to place any calls to Nortel 1140E IP

Hello all,

I have the following problem with Nortel’s 1140E sets.

Description:

Impossible to place any calls to Nortel 1140E IP sets because it responds with a “RINGING 180” message instead of with a “TRYING 100” message.

Problem:

Nortel only supports these very nice looking 1140E sets on their MCS5100 Platform, but you actually can register these sets to the sipXecs.

It is possible to make call from this set but you cannot make calls towards this set.

When you try to call the Nortel 1140E ip set, an “INVITE” message is sent by the sipXecs proxy.

The 1140E immediately responds with a “RINGING 180” message, it doesn’t first send the “TRYING 100” message as it’s supposed to do.

Although I realize that the 1140E isn’t responding as normally, is there a way to solve this problem in the sipXecs software?

Met vriendelijke groet,
Kind regards,

Richard Kok
