[SIPfoundry] Mail to mailman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx rejected; Names displayed without permission
I'm posting this message here because attempts to send
mail to mailman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx are
rejected. This is the address that is advertised to be for getting
assistance with the mailing lists.
It is good that your
mailing list software is smart enough to not include the domain name part
of a sender's email address. So, why is it not smart enough to do the
same for a person's name
that is embedded in the same email address. It does no good to give
users control over display of a username in the user options, and then bypass
the control completely by displaying any name embedded by an email server in the email
address.
